What Are The Ingredients For Peach Puff Pastry Tarts?

This simple recipe uses only five ingredients and is very easy to make.

  • Puff Pastry. Frozen puff pastry is used to make these tarts. The pastry has to be thawed before using.
  • Egg yolk. This is what helps the pastry to turn golden while baking.
  • Peaches. Fresh peaches that have been pitted and sliced thin are used for this dessert recipe.
  • Maple syrup. Drizzle over the tarts after baking to add a touch of sweetness.
  • Powdered sugar. This is optional but it adds a pop of contrast when sprinkled over the cooled tarts.

Serving Peach Tarts

These puff pastry tarts can be served warm or chilled. Either way, these tarts are delicious.

Our favourite way to serve them is while they are still warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Sometimes we add a drizzle of caramel over the ice cream.

Making These Tarts On The BBQ or Smoker

This recipe is easily made on the BBQ or in a Smoker. In fact, it’s how we usually make these tarts.

Preheat the BBQ or smoker just as you would the oven. Use offset or indirect cooking method on the BBQ to bake these tarts.

For the smoker, we like to use peach or apple wood to add a touch of smoke.

Storing Leftover Tarts

If there are leftovers, they can be stored in the fridge in an air-tight container for up to 2 days.
