Why Add Peanut Butter To Banana Bread?
There are two reasons for adding peanut butter to a banana bread:
- Flavour. Peanut butter and bananas taste amazing together. They are better together than peanut butter and jelly in our opinion, anyway.
- Protein. Peanut butter adds protein to banana bread. These days everyone is trying to get more protein in their diets and this is an easy way to sneak in a little extra protein.
Tips and Tricks For This Recipe
The bananas should be overripe to make this bread. They should be black, but not to the point of moldy or rotten.
Melted butter can be used to replace the vegetable oil for a richer flavour.
Don’t overbake the bread, or it will become dry. The bread should be baked only until it is baked in the center.
For the best results, don’t slice the bread when it is still warm. Wait until it has cooled almost to room temperature before slicing.
