What Size Pan Is This Bread Baked In?
There are a few options to pan sizes for this bread. We opt for a 9-inch bread pan. Our favourite is the Starfrit Rock Wave Loaf Pan because it bakes evenly and is easy to clean.
The bread can also be divided into two smaller 7-inch pans. The bread will take less time to bake. We recommend checking it after 35-40 minutes.
And the last way that we have made this recipe is using a mini loaf pan, one that makes eight personal sized loaves. This type of pan will bake in 25-35 minutes.
Tips For Making This Bread
This simple recipe takes little time to put together. When making this recipe there are a few tips to help get the best results.
- Whisk the dry ingredients together to make sure the spices blend evenly into the batter.
- Don’t overmix the batter. It should be just combined without any traces of the flour mixture.
- If adding nuts or chocolate chips, toss them in a little of the flour mixture and then fold them into the batter. The flour will keep them from sinking to the bottom while baking.
- The bread shouldn’t be overbaked. To test the bread, insert a toothpick or wooden skewer in the centre of the bread. If it comes out clean or has just a few tiny crumbs on it, the bread is done.
- Try to resist cutting the bread before it has cooled. The bread will slice easier when cooled.
Serving Pumpkin Bread
Like most quick breads, this Pumpkin Spice Bread can be served for breakfast, snacks and desserts.
It makes a fantastic afternoon pick-me-up with a pumpkin spice latte or chai tea.
This quick bread also makes its way to the brunch table for our Thanksgiving weekend family brunch every October. Pair it with other sweet breads like our Carrot Muffin Bread.
Storing Quick Breads
Pumpkin Spice Bread will stay fresh for up to five days at room temperature when it is stored air tight in a container or freezer bag.
