What Are The Ingredients For These Protein Bites

To make these protein balls, you need the following ingredients:

  • Protein powder.
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Almond flour.
  • Honey.
  • Water.
  • Mini chocolate chips. (optional)

Which Protein Powder To Use For This Recipe

The protein powder can be any you choose. We make these with chocolate protein and have tried different flavours. One of our favourites is Snickers Hiprotein powder.

Another good choice for protein powder is Six Star unflavoured protein. It blends well into the recipe without the chalky taste that some protein powders have.

Protein Brownie Bites Can Be Gluten-Free

All the ingredients we used in this recipe are gluten-free. The protein powder we use is gluten-free.

Using almond flour means no gluten and no baking.

Variations

If you are looking for a little added flavour, the water in the recipe can be replaced with strong coffee.

Dark chocolate chips are also a delicious addition.

Roll the protein bites in almond flour or crushed almonds, pecans, or walnuts.

Slivered almonds can be added as well to add to the flavour and texture.

Shredded unsweetened coconut is another great addition to add texture and flavour.

Another addition that can be used is a fibre supplement, like Benefibre, to boost the fibre in the bites.
