Frozen Fuzzy Navels are a refreshing cocktail to serve at a backyard BBQ or any get-together in the heat of summer. Whether they are served with alcohol or not, these drinks are great to enjoy on a hot summer evening.

What is a Frozen Fuzzy Navel with a Twist?

Original Fuzzy Navels call for Peach Schnapps and orange juice. Add vodka, and it becomes a Hairy Navel.

This cocktail is a little different than the traditional Fuzzy Navel cocktails that were popular in the 1980s.

New Twist to an Old Favourite

For this drink, we add rum as well as frozen peaches. Blending all the ingredients produces a slushie-type drink that is full of flavour. It is really refreshing, and because it uses frozen peaches instead of adding ice cubes, there is no watering down. And a slush stays cold longer than a liquid drink with ice.

When making just one cocktail, we use a personal-sized blender. But when it comes to making them for a crowd, we use a full-size blender and triple or quadruple the recipe.

When peaches are in season, we freeze fresh peach slices for this drink. Simply pit and slice peaches, then place them in a single layer on a plate or cookie sheet and freeze for 1-2 hours before using. Leftover peach slices can be stored in a freezer bag for later use.

Non-Alcoholic Version

Frozen Fuzzy Navels can be made without the addition of Peach Schnapps and Rum for a virgin drink. This is great for those who prefer a non-alcoholic drink.

For serving, any glass you like can be used. We use stemless wine glasses, which are our go-to for almost all drinks. Cocktail glasses can also be used.
