Ingredients For Creamy Peppercorn Ranch Sauce

To make this sauce there are a few ingredients needed. Most of these ingredients are probably already in your pantry or fridge.

  • Sour Cream. We use full-fat sour cream. We have tested this recipe with low fat and had good results.
  • Mayonnaise. Again, full-fat mayo is used, but low-fat has been tested and worked for this recipe.
  • Buttermilk. The addition of buttermilk gives this sauce richness and adds a touch of acidic flavour to balance out the other flavours.
  • Garlic Paste. Adding garlic paste instead of fresh garlic makes it easier to get the garlic to mix into the sauce more evenly.
  • Peppercorns. Freshly cracked peppercorns are what give the sauce a peppery flavour. The peppercorns should be coarsely cracked.
  • Fresh Dill. If you don’t have fresh dill, it can be replaced with dried dill.
  • Lemon juice. Freshly squeezed or bottled can be used.
  • Salt. We use fine sea salt.
