How To Cook These Turkey Sloppy Joe Sliders

There are a couple of ways to cook the turkey for this recipe.

Cooking the turkey filling in a frying pan on the stove is a quick way to make these sliders on a weeknight for dinner. A large skillet or cast-iron frying pan works for this recipe.

If you have an outdoor griddle, we highly recommend using it to make these sliders. Our Blackstone griddle is our favourite way to cook the turkey. This is also how our teens and young adult kids make this recipe.

How To Serve Turkey Sloppy Joe Sliders

When it comes to serving these turkey sliders, this can be done in a few ways.

  • For dinner, we like to serve these with fries and salad on the side.
  • To serve them at lunch, pair the sliders with a pasta salad or tossed salad.
  • These sliders are also great for get-togethers and parties. We add these to the menu for NHL and NFL playoff parties alongside other sliders, chilli and wings.

No matter how you serve these sliders, they are sure to be a hit.

Storing and Reheating Leftovers

The best way to store leftovers of this dish is to store the meat separately from the buns.

This recipe makes one dozen sliders. If you won’t be consuming all 12 at once, we recommend making only the number needed at one time. Store the remaining meat in the fridge in a covered container for up to three days.

To reheat the turkey, heat it on low heat in a frying pan or on a griddle until just heated through before assembling the sliders.
