Made with only a few ingredients, Pizza Rolls make a quick and easy snack or lunch. They can be made in advance and frozen for later as well.

This recipe dates back to when we were kids. Stacy started making these as a preteen with her mother and we made them with our kids. Now our children are young adults and they make these themselves.

Ingredients To Make Pizza Rolls
To make this recipe, the five main ingredients are:
- Egg roll wrappers.
- Pizza sauce.
- Cheese.
- Pepperoni.
- Oil for frying.
Additional and Alternative Ingredients
Making these simple with only pepperoni and cheese is the way we made these for our kids when they were little. It was also a great way to use leftover ingredients from making homemade pizzas.
But there are other ways to make these rolls with other ingredients to either add or substitute.
- Sliced mushrooms.
- Diced peppers.
- Cooked bacon, crumbled or chopped.
- Cooked sausage.
- Different cheese. Change the mozzarella to cheddar, gouda, or any other melty cheese.
Any ingredients you like on a pizza can be used in these rolls. If we have leftover Beef Pizza Sauce, we like to use it in these in place of regular pizza sauce.

Snack Or An Appetizer?
These pizza wraps are perfect either way. They make a great after-school snack to hold the kids over until supper.
We serve them as appetizers as well, usually with a side of pizza sauce.
Pizza rolls are also a great option for lunch. Serve them with a side of fresh-cut vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, and celery.
Make Ahead
When we make these, we usually make a double or triple batch to have on hand for a couple of days. When the kids were younger, a triple batch didn’t last long. With seven kids at home, these disappeared quickly.
Now we make a large batch and freeze them for the kids to heat up when they need a snack or a quick lunch. These pizza rolls will last in the freezer for up to three months.
Storing Pizza Rolls
Any leftover pizza rolls can be refrigerated for up to two days in the fridge. To reheat, we use an air fryer set at 350°F for 3-4 minutes or until heated through.
These can also be frozen after cooling. Place egg rolls in a freezer bag or air-tight container and freeze for up to three months. Reheat from frozen to avoid a soggy wrapper.
