Quick and Easy Pickled Red Onions
Pickled red onions are quick and easy to make. They can be used in many ways, from sandwiches to salads and everything in between. These onions balance out flavours in many dishes.

Servings: 2 cups
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 Tbsp white sugar
In a saucepan, add vinegar, water, sugar and salt.
Whisk over medium heat until just boiling, remove from heat.
Place sliced onion in a mason jar.
Pour liquid over the onion slices.
Put lid on jar and turn upside down a couple of times to cover the onions with the liquid.
Let sit for 30 minutes before serving.
Store leftovers in the fridge.
