Servings: 8 slices
- 500 grams pizza dough, (about 1 pound), divided in two
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2-3 cups shredded mozzarella
- 400 grams sliced pepperoni
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
Preheat oven to 375℉
Roll each half of the pizza dough into a rectangle of about 12 inches by 10 inches.
Spread half the pizza sauce on each rectangle leaving about an inch of space on the edges.
Top the sauce with the mozzarella cheese.
Layer the pepperoni over the cheese.
Roll the long end of the stromboli toward the centre, then roll it over on itself again to create a log. Repeat with second stromboli.
Place strombolis on a baking sheet with the seam side down.
Mix melted butter with the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush over the stromboli.
Using a sharp knife, slice the top of the stromboli two to three times to score the top to allow steam to release.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
