Homemade Pepperoni Stromboli

Easy-to-make, this recipe is a twist on pizza that is sure to satisfy. Serve as a meal or an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams pizza dough, (about 1 pound), divided in two
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2-3 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 400 grams sliced pepperoni
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375℉
  • Roll each half of the pizza dough into a rectangle of about 12 inches by 10 inches.
  • Spread half the pizza sauce on each rectangle leaving about an inch of space on the edges.
  • Top the sauce with the mozzarella cheese.
  • Layer the pepperoni over the cheese.
  • Roll the long end of the stromboli toward the centre, then roll it over on itself again to create a log. Repeat with second stromboli.
  • Place strombolis on a baking sheet with the seam side down.
  • Mix melted butter with the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush over the stromboli.
  • Using a sharp knife, slice the top of the stromboli two to three times to score the top to allow steam to release.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
