Glazed Asian-Inspired Pork Meatloaf

Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that has been enjoyed for decades by many families. But why serve traditional meatloaf when you can change it up with a few flavours to make it even better?

Ingredients

Meatloaf

  • 2 pounds lean ground pork
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp fish sauce

Glaze

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup Gochujang paste
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the meatloaf, mixing by hand until combined.
  • Press meat into a 9 inch loaf pan.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the centre of the meatloaf reaches 160℉.

Glaze

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  • Whisk to mix well.
  • Brush glaze on cooked meatloaf.
  • Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for additional 10 minutes or until meatloaf reaches 165℉.
  • Let rest in pan for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
  • Slice and serve.
