Ingredients For Honey Ginger Marinade

The marinade is made using eight ingredients.

  • Honey. We like to use local honey.
  • Soy sauce. Low-sodium soy sauce is our choice.
  • Ginger. Fresh ginger is what we use and grate it as needed using a zester.
  • Lemon. Both the zest and the juice of the lemon are used.
  • Extra virgin olive oil.
  • Fresh garlic.
  • Fine sea salt. If you don’t have fine sea salt, coarse will work, but less is needed.
  • Pepper. Our choice is white pepper, but black pepper works as well.

What Kind Of Pork Chops To Use

Any cut of pork chops can be used. We like to use boneless pork chops that are thick cut, but we have also used thinner, bone-in chops.

This marinade is also a great choice for pork tenderloin.

How Long To Marinade Pork

To marinate pork, pour the marinade over the meat, turning the meat to coat all sides in marinade.

Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour and up to 24 hours before grilling, baking, or frying the pork chops.

Can Marinade Be Made In Advance?

Yes, Honey Ginger Pork marinade can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored in an air-tight container in the fridge. Shake or stir well before pouring over the meat.

What to Serve With Honey Ginger Marinated Pork

There are many side dishes that complement the flavours of this marinated pork.
