Smoked Bacon Crumble Blueberry Pie
Bacon and fresh blueberries are the stars in this Smoked Bacon Crumble Blueberry Pie. This blueberry pie is the perfect dessert to serve at a summer BBQ, especially in late July when blueberries are at their peak.

Filling
- 6 cups fresh blueberries
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp lemon zest
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
Crumble Top
- 4 slices crisp cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1½ cups rolled oats, quick cooking
- ½ cup flour
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup butter, softened
Crumble Top
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix together with a spoon.
Using your hands, mix the ingredients well until it becomes crumblike.
Assembling the pie
Preheat the smoker to 400℉ using smoking pellets of your choice.
Place a cookie sheet on the smoker to preheat it.
Fill the pie crust with blueberry filling.
Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the top of the filling.
When the smoker is at temperature, place the pie on the preheated cookie sheet.
Allow to bake for 15 minutes.
Lower the temperature to 350℉ and continue to bake for additional 30 minutes.
Rotate the pie after 15 minutes for best results.
Remove from smoker when crust is golden and the topping is browned.
Allow to cool at least 30 minutes before slices.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
