Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter flavoured shortening
  • 3 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat smoker or oven to 350℉.
  • Cream shortening, butter, and sugars together until smooth and creamy.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla.
  • Fold in flour, baking soda, and chocolate chips until flour is just combined.
  • Spoon cookie dough into a cast iron skillet and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until just baked. Center will be soft and slightly wet.
  • Allow to cool in pan for 5-7 minutes before serving.
