Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup softened butter
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp coarse sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉ and line 2 baking pans with parchment or silicone mat.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together until smooth and creamy, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla extract, beating until smooth.
  • Stir in flour and baking soda, until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Scoop dough onto prepared pans using a 2-tablespoon scoop or large spoon, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until edges are crisping and centers are still slightly wet.
  • Remove pans from oven and sprinkle cookies with salt immediately.
  • Allow to cool for 1 minute on the pan before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  • Store in an air-tight container.
