In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the milk, sugar, and yeast.
Set aside for 5 minutes to allow the yeast to bloom.
Add melted butter, egg, flour, and salt.
Using the dough hook, on low speed, mix for 1 minute to combine ingredients.
Turn up the speed to the next level and knead the dough for 3-4 minutes. The dough will be slightly sticky and will pull away from the sides easily.
Turn dough into a slightly oiled bowl, and cover it with plastic wrap and a tea towel.
Let rise for 2-3 hours in a warm place until doubled in size.
Once doubled in size, punch the dough down and turn it onto a lightly floured surface.
Press or roll dough into a rectangle of 12-inches wide by 18 inches long.
