Servings: 3 cups
- 3 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced
- 1-2 jalapenos, seeded and diced*
- 1 small white onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp lime juice.
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ¼ cup Canadian whiskey, optional
Place all ingredients in a medium pot and stir to combine.
Heat over medium heat for 5-10 minutes or until peaches are soft, stirring and scraping bottom of pot to avoid sticking.
Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
Using an immersion blender, pulse the sauce until all ingredients are broken down and sauce is smooth.
Cool to room temperature before storing in the fridge in a Mason jar or air-tight container for up to 2 weeks.
* Use one jalapeno for a milder sauce, 2 jalapenos for more heat.
* If sauce is too thin, add a tsp of cornstarch while pulsing with the blender to help thicken the sauce.
