Griddle Cakes

Quick and easy to make, these griddle cakes are a perfect addition to the breakfast table.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp white sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • cups milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter, cooled
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together milk, butter, and egg until smooth.
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until just combined.
  • Heat griddle to medium-high heat.
  • Scoop batter onto heated griddle about 2 inches apart.
  • Cook until bubbles form on top and edges are golden, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip and cook about 2-3 minutes or until golden.
  • Transfer to a plate and serve.
