Banana Bread Waffles

Quick and easy-to-make banana bread waffles make a great breakfast. They have all the flavor of banana bread without an hour of baking time.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 2 bananas, mashed, about ¾ cup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp white sugar
  • tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk eggs slightly.
  • Add milk, butter, and vanilla and whisk to combine.
  • Stir in bananas.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Pour banana mixture into the dry ingredients and stir to fully combine.
  • Preheat waffle iron as per manufacturer's instructions. *See notes
  • Spoon waffle batter onto heated waffle iron and cook for 2-3 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Repeat with remaining batter.
  • Serve warm with choice of toppings.

Waffle makers vary by manufacturer. Temperature settings are different depending on the models as well. We recommend using the settings that are in your instructions.
Depending on your model, the amount of batter you will need will vary from what we use, so it is best to follow the recommendations for your waffle iron.
