Ancho Chile Sauce
Use as a marinade or sauce for chicken. Also great for tacos.

Servings: 2 cups
- 1 Ancho Chile, large
- 1 can crushed tomatoes, 796 ml
- 1 large white onion, quartered
- 1 lime, juice and zest
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- ½ Tbsp Red Chili Flakes
- ½ Tbsp Mexican oregano
- 1 Tbsp Kosher salt
- ½ Tbsp white pepper
Remove seeds and stem from the chile.
Rehydrate the ancho chile in hot water for 15-20 minutes.
Place all ingredients in blender.
Blend on Puree or Smoothie setting for 1 min or until fully blended and smooth.
Store in mason jars in the fridge.
