A Mrs. Claus cocktail is fizzy and sweet and makes a great cocktail to serve at any Christmas get-together. A festive cocktail to brighten up a Christmas party and is easy to make.
This cocktail is made from simple and easy-to-find ingredients. We like to have these all on hand over the holidays to make this drink because it is simple but flavorful.
Ingredients For Mrs. Claus Cocktail
To make this cocktail, four ingredients are needed plus some ice cubes.
- White Rum. We use Bacardi’s.
- Grand Marnier.
- Grenadine.
- Lemon Lime soda. We use 7-up.
Garnishes For Cocktails
When we serve these cocktails, we like to add a few frozen cranberries to the glass. The cranberries will add a festive touch and help keep the drink cool without watering it down.
Orange slices are also a nice touch to add to the glass.
Sometimes we skip the garnishes and use festive glasses. We like the ones in our photos which we purchased at Dollarama.

Tools For Making This Cocktail
The most important tool for making this cocktail is a shaker. A cocktail shaker ensures that the rum and Grand Marnier mix well. It doesn’t have to be expensive, but we recommend a metal shaker because it works best to cool the alcohol with the ice.
A jigger can be used to measure the alcohol but isn’t necessary if you have a small measuring cup.
Can This Cocktail Be Made In Batches?
We don’t recommend making this cocktail in a large batch. It tastes much better when made one at a time because of the shaker process that combines the alcohol together.
